Circle bridge Waterlandseweg

bridge construction

Experience from shipbuilding

The organic design of this approx. 240 m long bridge placed specific demands on the realisation of the bridge sections. The slender, flexible shape in relation to the dimensions set high standards for the forming and folding of the plate material.

A special detail is that all section joints are pre-tensioned in order to create a continuous beam.

An important added value in this project was the experience that our craftsmen have in bending, guiding and smoothing steel constructions for shipbuilding.
