Guidework (of Guidance systems ) – New Lock Terneuzen

12 Sections of 50 to 125 Tonnes from Brakel to Terneuzen

For the New Lock – part of the North Sea Lock complex in Terneuzen – twelve steel sections for the guide structures had to be fabricated. In collaboration with subcontractors, we produced these sections, weighing between 50 to 125 tonnes and transported them in parts to the coating company by both road and water. Our customer assembled the sections on site at the lock and fitted the fender panels.

On 11 October 2024, the New Lock was officially opened by King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands and King Philip of Belgium, including festive fireworks in the colours of both countries, set off from the guide works!

Positive media attention and a satisfied customer: the project couldn’t have turned out better!
